What began as a casual conversation, over drinks at a cocktail event in the early sixties with a gentleman from South Africa who went by the name of Mr. Winslow, morphed into an offer to Mr. Purcell by Mr. Winslow to sell Plaisance Estate, an offer that Mr. Purcell, a savvy and enterprising businessman, pounced on.
